The God Game
The goal is to bet on who will lose their minds first. These are called the players. When they horses break, the "gods" collect their prizes. When their horses win, the owners collect their royalties. How do you win? You have to stand up to the pressure of the mind breakers for awhile. They have some pretty good ones enlisted as well.

Nobody originated from the one that holds the high score at the God Game. See, they do have some rewards for the people who manage to really bring the God Game to a new level. N-body brought it to a level so high that they had to redesign the whole game and tranq the dude.

Re: The God Game
of course, don't kid yourself. eventually everybody breaks, stops playing, or dies. they like to keep playing, because the 'gods' give them a little syringe of energy when they score a point. they prick the skin a bit like taking a blood sugar test. you don't even feel it, but you do start feeling pretty good. it's hard to stop, so you keep going, you want to see what's on the next level. you think finally at the next level, the 'gods' will reveal you've won the game. they never do, because you can't win. they just make you keep playing until somebody shatters you, because that's literally the goal of the game. to break your mind.

lol.

Re: The God Game
the point of nobody was he figured out the game was rigged before anybody else so instead of trying to get people to remember his name and point out his victory he decided to go by shadow and destroy the game and the so-called gods and their horrible cruel god game.

he got farther then anybody else, but then he turned and looked over his shoulder and saw a beautiful lady singing a song about how his victory had pleased the immortals and how, when he returned to earth, he'd be heralded as the most significant man in history.

he was the strongest human we'd ever known, but this woman's beauty was unparalleled. compared to her affection, winning the god game was meaningless. of course, all along he'd forgotten his true purpose because of the seductions of this princess: he was not supposed to win, but stop the game from being played. but instead he left the ashlar on the floor of the temple by the emerald plates and the pillars and wandered out in a trance to meet her and what hoped he'd see to be an army of his loyal followers.

what do you think met this man when he returned to his bounty, his rightful 'kingdom'? that's right, it was an army of crusaders, ready to cut him dead. he'd come *that close* to pressing the big red button on the god game but privately, he'd wanted to be a part of it. he couldn't hide it from himself and he couldn't hide it from her. he wanted to pretend she was the traitor and the deceiver, but the truth is that she was the mirror. she revealed what he really was: like all humans, imperfect.

Good theory.

Re: The God Game
by playing the god game, many hope to walk in the footsteps of nobody and make his legacy theirs. what they forget is that in order to inherit his legacy, in the end they must destroy all traces of it, including themselves.
