DOOM ON!!! Blood of St. Januarius fails to liquefy on December 16th

An Italian friend of mine with relatives back in Naples has alerted me to the fact that a recurring miracle involving the blood of St. Januarius has failed to occur on one of the three dates it always occurs. According to tradition when the miracle does not occur it is a sign of impending doom. It is very rare that the miracle does not occur; sometimes it goes on for centuries without interruption. The three days it liquefies on are his feast day of Sept. 19; Dec. 16, marking his patronage of Naples; and the day before the first Sunday in May, celebrating the reunification of his relics. The last time the miracle did not occur on one of those three dates an earthquake followed that killed over 3,000 people in the Naples area. Every time it has not liquidfied a tragic event has followed. So the timeline for Doom would be between now and the first Sunday of May when the next occurrence is scheduled to happen.
