Are you really truly sure what you believe is correct? Is it possible for you to be wrong? Are there really no real terrorists out there that would like to do us harm? Even if youre right, so what? How are you any better? Youre a complete asshole. You pay taxes that fund military operations right? So how are you free of guilt?

I don't like living in a militarised country. I don't like some of the things we do with our military. I have, however. learned over the years that military service improves many more people than it destroys.

I don't have high ideals about service to country. I just think military service is as good a way as any for a kid to finish growing up as any.

A lot of people go to college for four years without developing a single useful skill. Many more work for decades without reaching any part of their potential. Our civilian culture is consumerist and corporate driven. Buy college tuition. Buy books. Buy a fraternity membership. Buy a car. Buy a house. Buy it all on credit and waste your youth paying for it. Waste your middle years too. Spend your old age working to avoid the kids in the basement. That's sheeplish.
