I was serious. It was a read implying for you to go to a local coffee shop. You should try it for at least 3 days. I think someone is meant to connect with you or help you or something. I intuitively heard and meant that part about the chair with your name on it (figuratively).

finally received one response from a job....
their response: not qualified.... even though I actually am... and pointed out to them, that they didnt even bother reading my resume or looking at my sf-50.... It was a contracting job with the air force.... a GS-5 at that...

not qualified, even though I worked as a GS-7... Just going to let it go.

Really frustrating applying to so many job openings and not hearing anything back... and when I do hear back... this is what I get....

other family issues... helped brother in-law several times... found out he is taking me for granted and thinks I am a fool. that he can walk all over me.

the only reason I helped him, was because of my two nephews and my sister.

I will take a look at that other thread.

I got fired in early Feb from a job I had of 13 years. Have my fingers crossed still that an IT systems analyst position will become mine.

Emptied out my daughters' 529 investment accounts earlier this week to keep up on bills.

Their mother barely makes enough to sustain a place of her own and can only help so much. I hope it doesn't come to it, but she's offered to give up her apartment and move back in with our girls and I to at least keep the mortgage and utilities paid.

Not easy being self-taught in literally everything I've ever done for work or as a hobby with only a HS diploma and no certifications...

I've only gotten two responses out of at least 3 dozen submitted applications/resumes. Still waiting to hear back from the recruiting agency after the in-person interview for the analyst gig. The other response, for a position at a Honda manufacturing plant, had all positions filled by the time I was able to get to the physical evaluation portion of the process.


Hang in there, the winds are always changing. They'll be at our backs sooner or later and the important part is keeping ready and willing to make the most of the opportunity
