I almost always use speakerphone.

7 is water resistant

You still keep it close to your body...and it's still emitting signals when not in use.

I almost always have it off my body, either set aside or in a cupholder or somewhere in the vehicle.

Don't upgrade your phone every generation.
Stick with the older generation phones with lower power output.
The next generation of 5G phones are going to be even WORSE than the ones around now.

I only get a new phone when forced to. My 4s is destroyed, so I have no choice. The SE looks like it has lower levels than the 6/7, should I go with that?

I haven't compared all the models because I'm not shopping for a phone.
BUT...but if I were you, and I HAD TO get a new cell phone....I would compare maximum output levels on all of the phones I was considering.
Maybe compare those numbers with your iPhone 4 as well as a baseline.....and look at other brands like Samsung as well.

Some phones are MUCH WORSE than others for cooking brain cells.
That's about all you can do, other than being aware that generally, each generation of cell phone fries up your head more than the last one.
Wait until this 5G stuff hits.
