Technology, specially if used to replace human labor or to dumb people, is leading to the extinction of society in the next years. | |

Think about 2 billion jobs (low skill) to vanish in 5-6 years, and 3 billion people unable to think by themselves to serve in the society who only seek instant gratifications with no moral values (smartphones). |

I disagree (kindly). It`s more unplanned degenerative growth. Look, we are still breeding, with population growing almost 2% each year, worldwide! It doesn't make sense, unless we are going to eat one to each other (Charlton Heston movie of the '70s). More chaos appearing everywhere and at every single matter. |

No attention being given to this op. Outside of earth changes and fuku...this is the real soon to hit us all doom. Also, the rate of children who are autistic. It really all looks very unsustainable to me. Somebody somewhere if there isnt a worldwide cataclysm beter have a plan to pay humans not to work...and fast. |

The thread's title says it all! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 74207586 We have to reset the current situation to 01/01/80 and redesign the deployment of consumer, civil and military technology while we educate people to adapt, using a lower pace of deployment and punishing godless greed of those who introduces new products and services. This might very well be the case, but, if they impose a tax on robot work, we could still end up in a Wall-e scenario. |

From what I see in the trenches, they got a long way to go. We got several robot forklifts for the factory floor. I haven't seen one work in days. They just lazily putter around doing nothing. Except sucking up electricity from the induction charging stations. I think they are learning from the salary workers. . "Don't do anything that affects anything. Unless it turns out you were supposed to do it, in which case for the love of God. Don't not do it!" |
