A system based on this will always fail.

You should be rewarded for remaining healthy, not punished. If you have a pre existing condition you have to pay more...it's just the facts

The "healthcare market" is fucked. It's not a real market either, because the true consumer has no way to negotiate prices or coverage.

Imagine if you went to supermarkets and there was no pricing on anything, but you find out that blacks get fried chicken and watermelons for $0.10, where everyone else has to pay $3.50... The Mexicans get free limes and jalapeños with every purchase, and they never have to show valid I.D...but only when buying Corona or Tecate. (And that's only the most superficial analogy...)

Healthcare for profit is just wrong.

I work in the Insurance Industry in upper mgmt. mainly in health plan product development and operations. I can tell you Obamacare destroyed the industry. The Supreme Court ruled on the ACA June of 2012 and 1/3 of the company where I worked at the time (including myself) got laid off in August 2012.

I was defending the healthcare workers. They don't set any of the prices...they have noting to do with any of that.

In fact, they get shafted.

They have to pay for their own healthcare premiums, deductibles and percentage of treatment, while at the same time they have to pay their taxes that go to the welfare leaches.

And then they have to medically TREAT those leaches when they come in on an amberlamps for their free cat scans for having a belly ache

Because gov stuck its hairy unwanted hand in it!

Because its designed to pay insurance costs not healthcare costs. Middlemen everywhere sucking up profits instead of providing services.

Actual treatment of illness is a fraction of what gets spent.
