The thing is meditation came from the East.

It is about spiritual growth.

The old Christians ages and ages ago called it contemplation.

That was contemplation about Jesus.

You have reached a space where the emotions are not.

I used to feel floaty and disconnected at one time.

It is wise to keep yourself protected when you meditate as you can inadvertently leave your world.

Do you chant or do you just go into a calm space?

Well whatever ,to be in the world you have to ground yourself.

Imagine yourself firmly on the earth ,part of the earth. Take your shoes off and feel the ground. Feel love for your place on the earth.

You must make yourself safe ,before you meditate again.

There are more thinks in heaven and earth then we know of ...not all are nice.

I ask Jesus because he has always kept me safe.

Then imagine you are in a bubble which will protect you.

If you are anxious it is maybe better to stop meditating altogether and try another way..

So imagine a time when you were happy and relaxed. See if you can bring this in you mind. When the feeling is strong click your fingers . Then when you click your fingers later the happy feeling will come back. It does not have to be click of fingers .It could be wriggling your toes or what ever you want.

I expect this is the safest thing for you to do and leave the meditation . I gave up meditation because of similar stuff.

If I did relaxing in yoga I had funny visions. Once I went straight into a Scottish battle scenario. I gave the yoga up too.

I hope this helps..
