Has anyone had any negative effects from meditation?

When I meditate I go into a trance where I hear voices and perceive contact with entities.
But I am \\\\\\\"schizophrenic\\\\\\\" by conventional standards anyway... May not happen to normal people.

I just try to deal with it. The brain is yours, they are just your thoughts. Meditation is calming down the mind end eventually getting rid of thoughts, feelings, perception ... only bliss remains. Meditation is like the deep sleep just without falling asleep.
