You're not alone. Hope is the only way we know for sure, we not in Hell. Fight your way out. I had my first lucid dream last night, in 5 years. The content was disturbing and liberating. Today I feel born again. Hold on. [ link to www.youtube.com (secure)]  Thank you. :-) THat image (of HOPE) is haunting. I love it. :) Agreed. The torture is terrible. But it does end. And it does feel like being attacked by a dementor. Like you will never be happy or feel good again. Laughter, even forced, helps. They go for the heart. Sometimes it feels like a pin is in it. Or you're being stabbed. They go for the gut, twisting and stabbing. They will sting your skin and rape you at the same time. It is Hell in every sense and any calling out to God or Jesus, seems (at the time) to fall on deaf ears, which furthers the hopelessness. For years now, I've wondered why they torment as well.
