Florida mom introduces thug to Mr Shotgun - video

I definitely agree. However, here in South Florida we had a shooting incident four or five years ago that throws a curveball in that.

Two thug dudes get into an argument playing basketball at a city park. One says he was going to his car to get a gun, the other waits until he is at his car about fifty or sixty yards away and shoots him with a handgun.

Some of the people that were there said the guy did indeed say he was getting a gun, but that it seemed more like he was just bumping gums and was really going to leave. The guy gets in his car after killing the other man and leaves the scene, gets in a car chase with the cops, and STILL doesn't get charged with the shooting.

I'll go see if I can track down a link to an article. It was a crazy ass story for sure.

Absolutely right. Her only chance to fire was once he was inside. You cannot shoot through a door. You can't blow his wheels up. You will go to jail. Personally, I would have fired as soon as he crossed the threshold.

No, she didn't have mercy. What if the thug comes back with a friend to exact revenge? The RIGHT thing to do for her children would have been to shoot the thug in the chest. Mercy would have been not shooting him a second time in the skull while he lay bleeding to death on the threshold.

i replaced all of the screws in the door stud with extra long ones but i have a steel security screen door so this was just for extra strength in case of a hurricane.

I have kicked in doors and the door itself usually splits/bends and the deadbolt is pulled out of the striker. Always get the reinforcement for the edge of the door. It will make a HUGE difference.

Security screen doors can be also pulled outwards in a certain way and most of them will pop right open, so don't let that be a false sense of security.

But good for you for taking some steps. Better than most.

probably hooking up a heavy chain and using a vehicle to pull it open MAYBE.

other wise these doors are very difficult to get open.
