We had flat green Chinooks with no markings flying around yesterday- Which is not totally unheard of... we live along the I5 corridor- these were hecka low though.

Chinooks will definitely prevent sleep

Oh yeah, another strange thing- I dropped off my wife at work this morning, she is a nurse at the local hospital- the back entrance (which is a main one- valet... many use it as a main entrance) was locked?? This has NEVER been the case. Everyone showing-up for work was sort of dumbfounded, standing around with their coffee. She had to go through the ER to get inside. Likely nothing, but we have never even heard of it being not open...?

Just walked the dog- shit is going down on the other side of the valley as well- at first I thought it was just a bouncing echo- but there are helos up there as well. I'm thinking it has to be logging (too much cloud cover right now to see anything)- but that shit is dangerous enough as it is... would they do it all night? and if so, why?

Well, they knocked-off about 8:00 am local time- started-up at about 10:00 pm last night- ran ops all night and now nada- NO WAY that was logging.

I asked my buddy who was a logger for years if they ever did that stuff at night- he said no way, didn't happen (he would know, he's missing half of a hand from that shit)

Might do a little drive-by of the local N. Guard armories in the area to see if it is their weekend to train- They always head up north into the boonies to do helo shit my buddies have told me.

Youngest daughter is infantry support (medic) stationed at Ft. Lewis in WA. She just called bitching that they were scheduled to load their vehicles for a training at Ft. Irwin in CA at 1 PM today, but got told the loading is rescheduled for 1 AM tomorrow, and possibly for somewhere else.
