But also at 100% tax 0$ revenues, which means that the optimum tax rate (optimum for the government) lies somewhere in between. What is that optimum value? Turns out it's quite low, 30% or so. Thus lower taxes at our current 40-50% rate (including state taxes), could dramatically increase revenue. This happened every time it's been tried, during the Kennedy, Bush, Reagan and Clinton years. With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible |
