what do you think about the relation between consciousness and darkness?
at the end of it there would be two possibilities.
either there would a true duality between light consciousness and dark consciousness, or consciousness is really more of the core of light, while darkness is just the falling and in the end, the complete disappearance of the consciousness principle.

when i read Ego i usually understand something like 'unconscious self'.
it's true i can only try to understand this in an indirect way. My inner silent observer never left me even for the tiniest of moments, so i could never be completely identified/lost in the 'I'.
The closest thing i can experience is the regular dreams state, when i am identified with the 'i', without the silent observer being around.
as such the best way i found to explain and understand the behavior and actions of those who seldom if ever are able to observe themselves, is that the way they experience the waking reality is very similar with how i experience the regular dream state.
So in this sense i would take your 'hyper awareness' definition as sound, in the sense in which 'awareness' is more of a basic expression of life force, in the sense in which animals are keenly aware, but never self-conscious.

The Ego self is often the driving conscious self, and what fights to maintain...its illusion.

It's what will continue to move forward if and when our 'talking heads' are uploaded into infinity. ---->

It's good to remember, we were alway here first. The very beginning of what is now becoming the Web of Mankind.

in essence you speak truth, just a few notes i'd like to make.
Why do you think at their core things were not already separated. This 'here' that you speak of i take it that you refer to this physical earth, which you now that is actually just an illusion compared with the true spiritual realities.
it might as well be that most human bodies walking the earth are already soul-less, more like memories of dead souls.
Why do you think it's not the other way. Those souls who did not accept and followed the love of Christ were/are/will be taken away to you know where :)

'what will continue to move forward' you mean like here in the earthly illusion, with the earthly bodies and so on, when/if our 'talking heads' will go home. the way i read your words the 'talking heads' are what i was referring to as consciousness as opposed to awareness (ego)
