Last time the USA tried to fight Canada the Canadians kicked the Americans arses.

There was even borders before 1867

A stipulation in the Treaty of Ghent (1814) was the restoration of borders between the Untied States & Canada.

So even though the Canadian constitution wasn't signed until 1867 there was already existing borders between Canada & the United States 53 years earlier.
That proves Canada & Canadians existed before 1867.

The only difference at that time was that present day Canada was known as British North America. And Upper Canada & Lower Canada were provinces of British North America (The Uk). And Canada flew the Union Jack Flag.
Canada even flew the Union Jack Flag long after Canadian independence from the Uk in 1867.
I'm pretty sure Canada flew the Union Jack Flag until about 1964 ?
The current Canadian flag with the Maple Leaf is only 50 some years old, even though Canada as a country itself is 150 years old.
And most eastern Canadian cities are 300+ years old.

You're only partly correct.
In the war of 1812 all officers & generals in Canada were British from the Uk. (about 40 to 45 officers and generals)

However all soldiers were Canadian and first nations indian warriors from about 45 different tribes (known as North American British)

These soldiers totaled about 45,000 at its peak.

The only regular British soldiers from the Uk that were were in Canada at that time were stationed in Quebec City. There were 5000 regular soldiers from the Uk.

Quebec City did not see any action in the war of 1812. So these soldiers did not fight.

So the only Uk men who fought were the 40 or 45 British officers and generals along with the 45,000 Canadians and Indian warriors. This also included french canadians. (known as lower Canada)

This info is about the war of 1812. not the American battle for independence. which was a different war fought about 40 years earlier.

The biggest mistake people make about teh war of 1812 is saying there were no Canadian troops,
they were all British troops !!

The misunderstanding is because Canadian soldiers in 1812 were also called British troops.

Only the crown made a distinction between British and North American British.

Everyone else in the world and mostly Americans just called all soldiers in Canada "BRITISH SOLDIERS" regardless of whether they were actually Canadian, or from the Uk.

and maybe read what Canadian troops did in WW2 on Juno beach.
and what the Canadian air force did to the Nazi's.

Also read about the 11+ years Canadian soldiers spent in Afghanistan. and how little Canadians were killed during that 11+ years. and how much land Canada took from the taliban.
all the while there were no american troops in Afghanistan at that time.
Then when Canada handed over Afghanistan to the Americans the taliban started getting all their lost land back and America started getting hundreds of their own men killed.
