been foolish." IS WAY ACCURATE!

There is a thread up today on GLP that talks about
how humanity has essentially "sealed our fate" by
putting up radio waves and "messages in a bottle"--like
Voyager 1 with its gold plaque and our DNA analysis
--as we ASSUME ALL E.T.'S are friendly (they aren't.)

Stephen Hawkings, by far one of the planet's smartest
men, has gone on record as being TOTALLY against our
taking this general "nice E.T.s" attitude and to STOP
with the messages and plaques out in space. He believes
if there are E.T.s visiting our planet, it will be
most likely because they have EXHAUSTED RESOURCES on
their own planet and are looking for supplies. They would
be inclined to TAKE WHAT THEY NEED BY FORCE and we would
be completely out-classed by technologies.

So...long story short...IMHO your meme is very good.
