Russia does not operate the SU-22 (SU-17). They haven't for over a decade.

But the F-22 raptors would destroy Russia's 5th Gen fighters based on superior numbers alone; we could have 2 dozen F-22's in Syria in less than 12 hours I'd imagine; if we already don't.

This SU-35 fly's like an old tuna boat!

The Serbians took down a F-117 with a 30 year old obsolete SAM system by using some novel tactics.

Odds are, the S400 being operated by Russia's best technicians could target a F22, if not 100% of the time... enough to make them think twice about risking it.

Stealth aircraft are only good against third world countries with poorly trained conscripts running the radar.

That being said, Russia only has a handful of launchers in theater. From what I remember, a barrage of 50 or so cruise missiles would cause them to expend all their loaded launchers, the 51st missile and every one after would begin taking out radars and launchers.

Of coarse, at that point we would have killed hundreds of Russian personnel and then we would have that to deal with...

There is no such thing as invisible aircraft, that is for sure.

The problem is the US has decoy signature drones so good luck picking out the 12 F-22's with 120 radar signatures.

That's why the Russian missle defense system is way overhyped. It'll be fooled out of commission and be air struck.
