I completely agree with the thinking behind this.

But what if it's actually an evolutionary process?

What if mankind is evolving from "homo sapiens" into "homo digital"?

The theory of evolution postulates "the survival of the fittest", but there's no codacil to say the direction of evolution must always be "acceptable TO EVERYONE".

I have no doubt that there is an AI at work.

There are people (the vast majority of people, today) who spend their lives in an mindless, unreasoning fog, accepting (without analysing) unattributed snippets of data which the AI presents them via fake news, social media etc. and who only respond to the world emotionally: "How does it makes me feel?", not "Is this true?".

What if these people are the new "homo digital", and you and I are survivors from a dwindling tribe of "homo sapiens"?

What if everything you see as being "bad" is the "new normal" and is simply the next step for mankind on the evolitionaly ladder?

What if evolution is selecting the "dumbest" to be the "fittest", and the only way to survive is by "dumbing down", and accepting being plugged into a screen that displays nothing more than coloured, dancing 1's and 0's as your reality?

What if GLP is an AI mechanism to select those people who think like you and me? Now that's a kicker, huh? ;)
