No I don't think there will be war, I don't believe anyone is crazy enough for that. It would potentially mean the death of milllions. Nobody wants that.

North Korea had fired missiles on fastest plane SR-71 in 1990s. They can do it again. This time they have giant missiles which can reach 4500 kilometers.

My money is on there being a massive (man made) hurricane, that wipes out all their (NK's) strategic military sites, causing a country wide state of emergency, where upon Kim will be forced to hand over power to China in return for aid. China then goes in putting a governor in place and helps themselves to all the minerals there and sells in to the rest of the world for a huge profit.

They've been messing with the weather for years, just need to wait for them to finish their experiments and get it working right.

This is of course all made up, but I think this would be the best outcome.

Some good input guys. It's nice to see everybody hasn't jumped on the war bandwagon as the media seemed to have initialy set out to have happen.

The thing about North Korea is that the world can't stand by with Kim Loony threatening to random nuke, something's gotta give.

So US is pressuring China to take care of their red head stepchild and restore order. This would make China eligible for Super Power status... China is dragging their feet or Kim is really out of control. that's the dilemma.

Meanwhile the US is occupied with taking care of Islam and wants North Korea wrapped up, thus the sense of urgency. The world is about to boil over and the hamsters are running in the wheel as fast as possible.

Real question is: are you prepared if war breaks out, an EMP knocks out power for months, or ISIS attacks a dozen US cities?

I agree. Whilst there's issues in dealing with North Korea via military means and a probable backlash from whichever means is used, at one point somebody has to intervene since North Korea will at one point reach a highly competent level of militaristic capabilities.
