Anonymous Coward User ID: 246053 Australia 06/03/2007 05:02 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Oh for gods sake, Is there asnyone here who isn't a wise ass? I need something to deaden the nerves around this thing so I can cut it out. I don't want to cause the dog any more pain than necessary. No I'm not letting the vet do it because I have already given the bastards my life savings on this dog for them to do nothing. |

(the dr can send a tiny part of the cyst to check if it has cancer cells ;biopsy), see why is better to take him to a vet?good luck.take care! |

Quoting: shell 219684I have spent and spent and spent money on this dog with vets ( 10 differant ones )til I have no more money left. I just gave them $2000 to tell me they can do nothing about his seizures. I showed them the cyst and all they said was watch it and keep an eye on it. Vets are the original cause of every problem my dog now has and I can prove it. I have plenty of witnesses who have seen what these frauds ( 10 of them ) have done to him over the last 8 years. I have treated most of his skin problems and eruptions myself. I have opened them, cleaned them out, sewed them back up and they healed beautifully. This one is just in a more sensative spot. I can treat it and heal it with what I have if I can deaden the nerves around it. I have already removed two thirds of the hard fatty crap that's in there. The rest has to be scraped from the skin around it. I can then pack it with antibiotics and sew it back up. |

Vet Nurse User ID: 19193303 New Zealand 07/05/2012 05:02 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Really sorry to hear about your situation. Once you have drained the cyst it is a good idea to frequently flush it with a saline solution to prevent the infection returning (salt and water works if you dont have any in a first aid kit) alternatively a few drops of tea tree oil in a bit of warm water will also speed up healing and prevent infection coming back. I have always removed cysts off my own animals as much as I believe in Vets there are some things that really dont need the huge bill so long as you are willing to take the time to give your dog post treatment care. Good luck - hope your dog feels better soon :) |

quack User ID: 32810424 Netherlands 01/22/2013 12:29 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | As stupid as the response of "use pressured gas refill" was its not far from the truth. You can use any pressured aerosol spray to numb flesh the only thing you have to do first is wrap the area with cling film first to stop the aerosol from entering the flesh and causing issues. try it on your own skin first and you will notice within a few seconds your skin will be numb after 5 - 10 seconds your skin will freeze. (30 -45 sec should be enough for your job) this is the exact way hospitals perform waking drainages. ( ofc they have there own type of pressured freeze spray) if there is a vain feeding the cyst you will need to seal it, burn or deep freeze or stitch burn is easiest. hot knife and i mean hot. soldering iron is best as used by surgeons for long time. there is always cocaine or heroin as numbing agents but these are dangerius if you dont know weight to use ratios. hoope A normal answer helps. |
