Different here in our parish during Katrina. Our Sheriffs's dept wouldn't let people in from NO. AND had a convo with the Natl.Guard and told them not to fuck with the locals.No attempt at even thinking about confiscation here. They needed a staging area right across from my business at the time. About 50 miles north of NO.

Clearly you dont remember when those same agents approached a couple of small communities during the hurricane, who told them to stand down or die. OP you are comparing apples to oranges here. That was a chaotic situation in the aftermath of a severe natural disaster. IMO it is not fair to compare that to a gun confiscation program. I agree that the military is nothing to fool around with but I doubt they have the resources to descend on every gun owner in America in a surprise, armed gun raid!

Not sure I even want to speculate how a gun grab would go down but again, I highly doubt even the military has the resourcea to pounce on everyone at once. That's not even speculating on how many in the military would not obey the orders either. I would hope it would be MANY.
