Well i did install the gear once before as a techie. Solution didnt work then. Just killed all the people with 5g enabled. Hope that answered your question.

You know when you...ahem..."borrow" other people's technology. You didnt actually do the work to get there. You miss all those critical missteps and shitty reworks that only Murphy's law, finagles law and sods law can answer while developing the technology as the original builders and engineers can properly answer.

Its not that your people aren't smart or manage things. Its just you never actually read the end of that story since the people that developed it and built the imfrastructure purposefully left out the ending. The horror of turning it on and watching 95 percent of the population simply fall over stone cold dead was enough to say among the remaining few to bury it. Took a while to rebuild but the two years after they flipped the switch. The stench and body disposal became too much for most. We abandoned the cities and headed by out into the bush and farm lands.
