Has the common denominator in this world become THAT common! While her daughter (who is fully a poised bright grown woman in her own right) is a valuable asset and certainly one who has chosen to speak on behalf of her mothers' campaign, to have the NEWS in this country refer to her speaking on behalf of her mothers' campaign as being "PIMPED" out is the most vulgar, common, and probably racist comment I can imagine!

She's talking for God's sake! Not screwing for money! Let's use the terms accurately for once! She is not a prostitute. She is a speaker working on behalf of a political campaign. Does this mean that all those republican wives talking for and about their candidate hopeful husbands are "whores" too and they also are being "pimped" out?

This is outrageous that the media itself is guilty of such a choice of words! But when a radio personality recently referred to a bunch of team members on a womans basketball team (I think) as "nappy-headed whores" the guys career was OVER!

Hillary has every right to be deeply offended by the outrageousness of this comment. This is the height of vulgarity and bad taste. How dare a reporter use this term to describe what a courageous young woman is doing to further the election of the first woman president of the United States to office - and that woman happens to be her mother!

The phrase "Media Whores" is not much more applicable to the media itself than to anyone they're reporting about! How LOW are they going to sink? And what kind of a pig is going to describe this lovely educated, and poised, articulate young woman as being "pimped" thereby implying that she is a "whore"???

That may be a wonderful way of describing persons in his world, but it's not considered very flattering - nor is it something we aspire to in the real world!

Clinton won't pull out of the debates...she needs the free air space. Of course she had to make a stink about it, but that also gets her air time.

I have been watching this with interest...and will tell you something...this is one shrewd lady...By turning this into a major incident, who's using the daughter for who's benefit now? uh huh...anyone who thinks they are electing Bill back into office, IF they vote for Hillary...has another think coming...the lady wears the pants in that family...and anything, or anyone who can be used to benefit HER goals along the way, will be used accordingly...It was a figure of speech for crying out loud...he didn't call her a whore, he said the Clinton's were using her...and they were, he just chose the wrong way to say it..but he must have hit a nerve...I find it amazing, that a woman, running for prez...is never seen in a skirt, looking like a woman, who is proud of her gender...but at the same time, uses the woman wiles to get what she wants from people...pretty shrewd lady...I will give her that...rr

As you can probably tell by my previous post, I found Shuster's comments about Chelsea being "pimped out" outrageous and deeply offensive. While I'm not sure if I'm voting for HC - I am going to try to insist that these "news commentators" stick to the facts and the news and leave their neurotic and inflammatory choice of words at home or confine them to their private life where they may be appropriate. If this guy is going to be given a national platform on which to comment about the various campaigns - then let him clean up his nasty mouth! Of course I wrote a letter to the editors of both MSNBC and NBC since this putz has exposure on both. His suspension and insincerely rendered apology to the Clinton Campaign just is woefully inadequate.

About 9 or 10 years back, it was my good fortune to sit next to the young Ms. Clinton at the SF Opera Opening when her father was in office. She was under 20 at the time, and surrounded by secret service, had a date with her, and was there with a few friends too. We were given seats by some friends of ours who are patrons of the SF Opera but who were out of town and could not attend the Gala that year. As we were going in to our excellent seats, a secret service type stopped me, and very politely inquired if I was "Dr. X" (Dr. X being the man who'd given us his seats because they were in China at the time.) I responded that no, I was not he. But that they were dear friends of many years standing and they'd given us their seats that night. I then introduced my partner who was with me to the SS guy. He explained the security details presence because it was Ms. Clinton who would be sharing the box with us and another couple. I smiled and knew full good and well that the minute they had my name, they were running security checks on both of us. Finding no history of either violent nor criminal behavior, an considering the fact that I am a life-long Democrat and had worked on her father's campaign both times - we were seated without further ado. Chelsea was already in her seat by the time we sat down. It was she who turned to me and addressing me by name (the SS types briefed her, obviously) she introduced herself and then her date, and we exchanged pleasantries until curtain. At the intermission, we all got some champagne together and went out onto the terrace for a cigarette (her date smoked!) and she joined us. The young lady was exemplary in her behavior and was charming too. Her parents did one hell of a job for a kid raised in the fishbowl of the US Public looking at her every move.

In my opinion having her speak out on her mother's campaign is one very smart move. The girl is bright, poised and articulate as hell. To see her besmirched by an innuendo of whoredom being thrown at her by Shuster was too much for me to remain silent on. Here below is a copy of the letter I sent to MSNBC and NBC. I do not know if they'll dare print it or not, but at least they've heard from one outraged citizen and maybe that will serve to keep this idiot under wraps or at least clean up his mouth!

Mr. Shuster managed to voice a 'half-assed' apology about his 'choice of words' and frankly it's not enough! His lack of sincerity was all too obvious. I do not care which candidate Mr. Shuster is personally supporting. I do care about his using such vulgar and common terms on the new coverage, and I'm deeply concerned about NBC allowing him to do so with impunity!

Is Mr. Shuster so ashamed of his obviously white, educated, upper-middle class background that he is over compensating for it by trying to sound as though he's a product of some ghetto some place? If so, fine. That's his neurosis. But please ask him to clean up his choice of words on the air! While the young Ms. Clinton is a valuable asset for her mother's campaign - and of course she may be referred to as being utilized, being deployed, and being engaged in the support of her mother's candidacy. But she is NOT under any circumstances a PROSTITUTE nor is she BEING PIMPED OUT! And if your execs happen to have a bar of soap handy - I could suggest a fine use for it in Mr. Shuster's little potty mouth. The only whore we're dealing with here seems to be one of the MEDIA VARIETY and while he's been suspended, I still think that the bar of soap might seriously improve the quality of his reporting and the dubious sincerity of his apology to Hillary Clinton's campaign.
