Fastwalker N-L-I 12/12/2004 12:31 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | *** Lightning, Fireworks, Explosion!?! NE IL/SE WI Not kidding. *** I´m in NE IL/SE WI...
Any of you just catch some 10-15 minutes of bright flashes (above the clouds) in the sky and the sound of explosions like we did here?
Very strange. Trying to track down what it was. Nothing on local news. Weather phenomena? Great Lakes Naval is about 15-20 miles E/SE.
Still going on. My entire family (kids & all) hear it and see the flashes.
I´m dead serious.

We got the all clear here in Texas. Did see an unusual star in the sky earlier. Twinkling blue to red, appears to be moving but is very large compared to the other stars. I´m not trying to fear monger anyone it was just neat and probably nothing. Let me give the debunkers a heads up," NO IT IS NOT VENUS." |

Scarlet Witch...6 miles NW of Gurnee, Illinois/I-94...Overcast skies for days so we´ve seen nothing but flashes. They seem to have subsided but whatever it was seemed like a fireworks factory in the sky exploding at random with bright white flashes for some time. Along with Great Lakes Naval (where everyone in the navy comes to train) SE of us, there´s an off-line nuke plant about 10-15 miles NE of us in Zion, also toward Lake Michigan. Ultraman...New Hampshire!?! Same effects as I´ve described here? Our phone went off during it with no data sent on the i-d nor anyone on the other end. My one son claims to have some cars flying by on a 20 mph street 2 blocks west of us. Still nothing on local Chi news. It´s all just repeats. |

I´m hearing booms & seeing flashes in the sky also. Looks like heat lighting during the summer. I´m in NJ & they were happening around 10:00pm. |

Daron Fastwalker 12/08/2005 10:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Re: *** Lightning, Fireworks, Explosion!?! NE IL/SE WI Not kidding. *** Ultraman, No colors here. Just white flashes like I think I said a fireworks factory going off in the sky. NOT lighting nor any thunder. There was a heavy 10-15 minute period but all behind the clouds.
At this point I really can´t say WHAT it was other than I´ve never witnessed anything like that in my 50 years. |

Clearly white flashes behind the clouds here; NE IL/SE WI!?! |

Joyzee? You were saying they were happening around 10:00pm. Are they still going on right now? Do you hear any loud booms and is the ground shaking or any other thing in your house at the same time you hear the sound? |
Daron Fastwalker 12/08/2005 10:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Re: *** Lightning, Fireworks, Explosion!?! NE IL/SE WI Not kidding. *** Frankly, the sky echoed here as if there was some sort of artillery battle going off. NOT kidding. |

Ultraman 12/08/2005 10:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Re: *** Lightning, Fireworks, Explosion!?! NE IL/SE WI Not kidding. *** Same here. Over the clouds. Must be a meteor shower thats the cause. That would explain the colors. |
joyzee 12/08/2005 10:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Re: *** Lightning, Fireworks, Explosion!?! NE IL/SE WI Not kidding. *** The flashes were above cloud cover, cloudy but no rain here today. They didn´t sound like thunder, more like explosions. They were happening about a week ago also. |
Scarlet Witch 12/08/2005 10:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Re: *** Lightning, Fireworks, Explosion!?! NE IL/SE WI Not kidding. *** Daron Fastwalker, what you are describing sounds really weird. If you have never witnessed this weather phenomonen before what would you attribute this storm too? Do you think it is an anomaly? |
Daron Fastwalker 12/08/2005 10:10 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Re: *** Lightning, Fireworks, Explosion!?! NE IL/SE WI Not kidding. *** Ultraman, I´ve never HEARD a meteor shower. And the bursts were persistent for about a quarter of an hour. Then there were some remnants. Now quiet. Trying to think of what weather condition would cause that. The lights were literally all over our sky but, again, no rumble as with thunder - and - BRIGHT WHITE flashes. Puzzling. |
