| iaaresche User ID: 375111 United States04/01/2008 06:57 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | If, and that is a big IF, communism would ever be allowed to come to be, instead of just staying in the totalitarian state that usually comes just b4 the transition, it might be alright... but no "communist" state has ever taken that final step, they always stay in the dictatorship until a full revolution comes, and then it has to start over again... my biggest "beefs" with communism (if a nation were to acheive true communism) are that it usually does not allow much personal advancement or expression, and that it is ANTI FAMILY, which is absolutely devastating. we need a FAMILY based, localized (spread out, complete opposite of centralized... each person has equal power in the fictional state, and is allowed complete freedom of self ownership [which is what ALL freedom extends from]) and communal "government" (not communist, but more so leaned towards familiar community and COMMUNICATION) or, as i call it... A Familiar Sociocracy I WILL NOT let consequences dictate my course of action! But the reality is more like "From each according to his apathy, to each according to his greed". That's why it can't work - it's an ideology that runs contrary to human nature. Aside from the fact that "communism" is never attained by any government, because those in power generally find reasons to remain in [power, the fact that the philosophy runs contrary to human nature /automatically/ implies a government to force people to not cheat the system. In short, Communism's stated goal that 'the state will wither away' is self-defeating.
