They helped me on the phone figure out what I needed to increase the memory on my computer, and I had a professional come to my house to install it but it wouldn't fit. It took me six months and some pretty bad language on my part to get a refund, as they didn't want to refund for the part. They were pretty awful. |

In case you all don't know it, so be warned. I've had bad experiences with them also. OP, you should definitely make a complaint to the Attorney General's office in your state. First, when I bought a computer from them, (with their Global identity) it was supposed to have a gig of memory because that's what I was paying for. They put a 256 card in and sent me a 512 stick in the box. The computer only had one slot for memory (a laptop) so I couldn't even use those two together. Every time I called them, they'd either put me on hold forever, just hang up or say they'd have someone call me back, who never did. Then the scanner they sold me at the same time never worked and when I complained about that, they said the one who took the order didn't work there anymore and they couldn't find any such sale. Then, my mother's computer got ripped off and she didn't know the serial number as she'd only had it a couple months. I immediately called Global, where I'd bought it for her, to get that number from their order database and they had neglected to get that serial number. They also never sent in the paperwork to the manufacturer for either of the warranties I'd bought. Those creeps really need to be put out of business. |

Tiger sales employees purposely lie about prices to make you think u r gettin a deal. Tiger sales employees also purposely take your old credit card info on file to finalize sales without your permission, i know of maky people who did that and only one who got fired for it. They say they don't keep that on file... sure they don't. I worked in customer service and i used to have to lie tellin customers that their info wasnt in front of me when it actually was. Overall, TigerDirect is an unfair, poorly managed, illegal practice from top to bottom. I can't rememebr everything messed up they do, I got fired for giving a refund a refund on my day off (valentines day lol) and they didn't even call me. I had to waste gas and show up and noticed i couldn't log into my phone. |

But here's the thing. You can't simple yell fraud fraud or they won't pay much attention. You have to sound like you know the law and speak legalese for them to sit up and take notice. When it comes to fraud the key phrase to say is "Act of Constructive Fraud" so say something like: "As far as I'm concerned you are actively participating in an Act of Constructive Fraud against me and I will seek the maximum legal remedies available to me, starting with my State's Attorney General" I've run up a few places and while there's always a first time for anything, whenever I've said the above or very nearly similar worded sentence it has always resulted in an immediate change in attitude and swift resolution to my dispute in my favor. Good luck and stay vigilante and you will pervail in the end, they count on most people giving up in frustration after running up against the 1st or 2nd tier of red tape bureaucracy, so just stay the course and you can win. "A patriot must always be ready to defend his country against its government." "People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of the people." "If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!!!" “…if you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.” "I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the civilized world no longer a Government by free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men." - Woodrow Wilson from his death bed regarding his involvement in the passage of the Federal Reserve Act of 1913. |

Quoting: pissed ofe 423002Filled in the card info ONCE. They duplicated the info and entered it into a set of fields that sign you up for "web loyalty". Today i got down to the bottom of a $10 that had popped up 3 months in a row. Through bank of america (and only thru them, i have no number for this company) i was put in touch with "reservations rewards" who would not/could not tell me where they got my account info. Turns out it was tigerdirect.com (found out through my own bank statements) I call them to inquire.......they tell me I signed up for and additionally entered my card info (for a second time) for this service. AND that THEY can provide a screenshot of my order with this additional info duplicated in the "web loyalty" fields. THIS MEANS THEY ARE FABRICATING ORDER INFORMATION!! I'm about to launch my own investigation into who owns both TigerDirect.com and "revervation rewards" A.K.A "Wep loyalty" and how much you wanna bet they are the same at the top. NO COMPENSATION OR EFFORT was offered to me. I explained that $30 in the real world was alot of money (2 days of gasoline or so) and asked that a $30 voucher be sent electronically or otherwise to me for this blatant scam. he said: "THAT REQUEST IS UNREASONABLE" Nation's largest distributer; and $30 to right a wrong is UNREASONABLE? I'm currently preparing to send my documentation and individual findings to the State Attorney General's Office and some more creative destinations. JOIN ME IN THE FUN Sounds like a short between the chair and the keyboard... :) I know vendors can be sly when it comes to signing you up for this kind of crap, but you have to be vigilant - especially when it comes to giving out your personal information. I'll bet you have lots of pop-ups on your computer, too. Be careful what you do online. That's all I have to say. |
