Primary care doctors, what actual “doctoring” do they do anymore?!

They sell you pills pitched by a big tiddy woman who gave them a free pen.

Doctors today are garbage

They say "Hey Google, show me what these symptoms might be"

I forgot to add "it says here you might have cancer, i'm going to set you up with an appointment for Oncology"

They pushed everybody to play the clottery. That kind of dicks the Hypocratic oath donnit?

Mine looked into my ear. Said, the fuck if I know. Go see an ENT.

They got antibiotics for runny noses.
Sheeeeit if we could just go to CVS and buy them it would be over for them.

Pill Pushers.

They get kickbacks, vacations and prizes for pushing the right pills.

The kickbacks are even bigger for pushing chemo poison.

They are the GATEKEEPERS.

I am having a problem with my right leg right now.

Each part of my leg requires a separate referral, to the same "sports medicine" facilty...which is bullshit.

Hip, thigh muscles, knee, foot & ankle.

I'll be seeing different docs for the next 8 months, while my balance and condition goes downhill.

And I have a ligament disorder, which is probably causing all of it. Genetic issue. But this is the crazy bs we have to deal with now.

They are gatekeepers for specialists who may be able to provide actual help. Probably to help keep costs down for insurance companies, for one thing. Also, they're probably there to steer you towards papering over your health problems with Big Pharma drugs as well.

Sorry to hear about your health issues, hope and pray you get the correct treatment to heal you.

Wish we could get some doctors on here to freely tell us the real truth of what goes on in the trenches, any out there?

Get one who doesn't take insurance - well worth it.

Both my kids are in their 20s and have experienced first hand the BS going on with doctors.

My son has a rash. At first I thought it was measles. He went to urgent care. They gave him a steroid shot. Rash went away.

Shot wears off. Rash comes back. Goes to the Dr his dad goes to. Didn't seem to care. He wanted blood work done but since he doesn't gave his insurance card yet (the comoany he worjs fir has insurance but insurance guy is effing around), they wouldn't do anything.

He was told by urgent care and the Dr that if it comes back again, go to ER.

He finally goes to ER. Gave him more steroids.

Once he is out of steroids, the rash will likely come back and he cannot get a Dr to help. Next stop is the dermatologist but he still needs his insurance card.

I'm almost 58. I don't go to doc unless absolutely necessary. I will take my chances.

There is encouragement to train mediocre medical doctors.
Nowadays we see young doctors learning anatomy on plastic models, not having formal human dissections, not experiencing autopsy. Young doctors that don't know physical examination. Young specialists that doesn't know how to view the exams that they themselves ordered.

We have health care plans penalizing doctors that have encounters of more than 10 minutes. On the last pandemic some plans even penalized doctors who didn't followed their guidelines. Some places had obligatory prescriptions by ICD.

Last time I was a family doctor of an area of 7 thousand people. In which time could I see every patient with the time required for them, with the high administration seeking productivity and penalizing longer encounters? I had only one afternoon per week to go on houses of some special needs patients.

I could rant but the system is actively trying to select mediocre medicine.

Doctor means to cover up or conceal.

My family doc has been “retired” for 12 years. He’s 86 and still sees me and many other families that actually listen to him and don’t medicate our children. Tell him you’re depressed and he asks about diet and says take a walk next week every day, then jog, then run and do some weight training and come see me in a month. That’s the way you practice real healthcare.
