Full Moon aligns with Galactic Center
Tomorrow's full moon aligns with our galactic center according to Mark Lerner, author of Cosmic Calendar:

While this week of maximum intensity unfolds, you also want to be well-prepared for tomorrow's potent Full Moon (10:32AM PDT on Wednesday) that occurs in alignment with the heart center of the Milky Way. This area of the zodiac - particularly the lunar placement at 28 degrees of Sagittarius - connects every earthling with rarified energies streaming in from our galactic home. What those unusual celestial energies might provide in the way of enlightenment is unknown, but you certainly want to keep an open mind if ingenious ideas are ready to lift your spirits. Right now you need to keep your buoyant attitude and optimistic approach to life going at full tilt. Athletics, treks into the countryside and workout routines are looking good under the aegis of enthusiastic Sagittarius Moon. Improve your golf swing or tennis backhand. Add beautiful touches around your residence and office - courtesy of two Juno aspects, a supportive, 60-degree link to Chiron (4:33PM PDT) and Juno's monthly union with the Moon (8:24PM PDT). Strive toward empowerment, fairness, balance and equality in your primary partnerships. Don't let others treat you with condescension or contempt. This is especially important since Venus in Gemini opposes Pluto in Sagittarius (11:45PM PDT). While this powerful liaison can equate with revelations in romance and insights concerning money matters, the shadow side is associated with breakdowns in communication with dear ones. Squabbling over minor problems is taboo. Don't let someone else's negative mood swings ruffle your psychic feathers. Patience is a cardinal virtue in the evening hours.

Re: Full Moon aligns with Galactic Center
quoted from The Sabian Symbols in Astrology, by Dr. Marc Edmund Jones, p. 237:

The Sabian Symbol for 28 degrees Sagittarius:

An old bridge over a beautiful stream.

This is a symbol of the eternal stability of the world at large, and of each person's ability to preserve its form and function in full accordance with his own convenience. Implicit in the static symbolism is the complete dependability of man-made structures at their best, and the joy of nature in making them an enduring part of herself in every respect. What is ephemeral in any possible phase of the real is merely that which serves no purpose in its transient state of existence. The keyword is CONSERVATION. When positive, the degree is an individual genius for fitting all needs and ideals into the universal patterns, and when negative, total lack of initiative.

The formula is: manipulating-practical-original-generalizing-spiritual-receptive.

quoted from The Sabian Symbols in Astrology, by Dr. Marc Edmund Jones, p. 236:

28 degrees Gemini:

A man declared bankrupt.

This is a symbol of the eternal individuality of the human spirit, able to enter new paths of opportunity and thereupon achieve a further self-refinement whenever its particular involvements in everyday affairs have come to some point of futility. Implicit in the reversed symbolism is the realization of the ultimate transiency of both the rewards and penalties in life, and of the unreality of consequences if ever taken as other than a convenient converging of relationships. The keyword is DELIVERANCE. When positive, the degree is an effective and over-all resourcefulness in even the worst of situations, and when negative, a willingness to dodge every responsibility and betray the very core of self.

The formula is: manipulating-practical-ingenious-generalizing-spiritual-receptive.

Re: Full Moon aligns with Galactic Center
This is a very difficult Full Moon on 18 June 2008. Why?

* The Moon at 27 degrees Gemini 50 minutes is conjunct Pluto and the Galactic Center, with its Supermassive Black Hole and two Pulsars.

* The Sun at 27 degrees Gemini 53 minutes is conjunct Venus and Mercury in Gemini.

* Both of these are in a very tight and stressful T-square aspect with Uranus at 22 degrees Pisces.

* Uranus is square Pluto ~ one of the most violent aspects in all the heavens.

* Major Fixed Stars are conjunct this Full Moon: Betelgeuse and Polaris at 27 degrees Gemini ~ Ettanin at 27 degrees Sagittarius ~ Markab at 22 degrees Pisces.

* The South Korean Crop Circle of 12 June 2008 prefigured/announced this Full Moon as the doorway into Summer Solstice: the Hand of Cosmic Law is coming down, with the double *undone helix* of the Crop Circle in the very legalistic "SS" glyph form.

* This Full Moon of 18 June is the bringing forth into the physical (or 3-D reality) of all that was prefigured at 21 December 2007 Winter Solstice ~ when the Sun was conjunct Pluto and the Galactic Center.

incredible. lately nasa reminds me of a 3 yr. old who got caught doing something naughty, the lame explainations. there has been so many weird things show up on soho lately it's becoming run of the mill. stardate online said the full moon rises at 12:30 am wed, so i assume that is "tonight"? but perhaps nasa does mean wed. pm, as it will still be pretty full. wonder what they are up to now? i'm with ya on this full moon is gonna be a wild one, and i think that is just the beginning of a real wild end of the week.

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 376196

The 2012 thing is the earth (And the whole solar system) going into the galactic plane.

All this is is the moon is basically between earth and the center, or vice versa, or something along those lines. What they are trying to suggest, in non-mumbojumbo terms, is that the radiation and cosmic particles streaming out from the central area would somehow be focused by this alignment into a more intense dose. Perhaps in some process similar to using starts as magnifying lenses for astronomy. So if you have more radiation or particles flyin by, there's more chance a couple might collide with some atoms in your brain, which could cause it to go haywire for a while if some neurons gets out of wack.

Good times.

Dont freak out though, the likelyhood of that happening is quite low indeed, I would imagine

That should read "similar to using stars as...".

Or maybe you'll get all cancered up by the more intense radiation.. fun!
