I can relate. 20 years. A lot has happened (covid, trump, wars, etc) but we all seem to waiting for a massive earth changing event and that hasn’t happened yet but it always feels like it’s just around the corner.

Once those freedoms are lost, that becomes the new baseline for people pretty fast. And they forget they ever had more.
