Why didn't they drop both anchors the first time they lost power well in advance of the bridge? Is that not the standard procedure because it's my understanding that this is what they do in a blackout.

this looks like BS. watching videos, u see cars seconds before the hit. last night, reports said 20 ppl were working. way it sounded was like 8 signed in or punched a time clock so official # was less than even the dept knew.

as for the emergency vehicles, the flashing lights are road crew trucks and vehicles. not cops or fire trucks.

from the live feed during the night, there was discussions over the power being cut off. there were several lines going over the bridge. local power lines, power for lights on the bridge, and a high volt transmission line as well. this talk went on for over an hour or 2 after the collapse.

mixing electricity steel and water ain't never good. add in the height of near 200 ft, never heard claims of finding anyone alive up til bout 430 this morning on Locknor's feed. at that point it sounded more like a recovery than a rescue operation.

a May Day issued from the ship would not go directly to the bridge workers either. would go to port and take time to get that alert to workers from a different dept.

that story is equivalent to someone on the ground being able to predict what building a plane would crash into. when a plane issues a MayDay it does not go to local fire or cops. it goes to the tower. and they don't immediately evac anyone from below the plane.
