The Bible refers to it as “binding others with a spell”, and classifies it as worthy of death. Decades ago, I had one of these slippery NLP types try that stuff on me in a bar; fortunately, I had a working knowledge of the subject at the time because of a business I was in. He tried to steer me outside, so I played along. Once outside, he instructed me to give him my wallet and car keys. What he got wasn’t either of those things, but a mouth full of broken teeth. I left before he woke up, but somehow his wallet and keys ended up in a nearby storm drain. Good times. |
