Ahem I do know the difference and I'm an American.

Communism makes everyone poor lol Except for those in charge.

Socialism is more balanced; the people are taxed like hell but get lots of worker benefits. Socialism seems to work in small countries as best I can tell. In a huge country like the US though, I don't know. In some ways we're there now except for the workers' benefits. We simply pay for everyone else and get nothing back.
