Can a woman go through the change of life at age 38? | |
mathetes User ID: 514914 United States 11/12/2008 04:52 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have been so moody for the past 6 months or more. Quoting: awaking slowlyI suffer from headaches, fatigue, mood changes, and even nausea at times. I get really grouchy for no reason too and say things I don't mean. Could I be going through the change already? I thought my feelings were from a chemical plant leak. So could it be change of life? I even get hot all over at times. My wife thought she was at around that age, but 3 yrs later no change. She talked to alot of women where it did happen at that age. Maybe you have a ton of stress? For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. |

Go see your gynecologist, but to make sure, though. And, yes, it can happen as young as 38. It all depends on how old you were when you got your first period and how many eggs you were born with. |

Hillcrest User ID: 392015 United States 11/12/2008 05:00 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | a lot of women think they are going through the change early, when they simply have an underactive thyroid (hypothyroidism). best to have it checked out with the doctor... also, it's possible to have "subclinical" hypothyroidism, which means they can't detect it with their tests... but it's best to have it checked out just to be sure.. also, it could be borderline anemia or a combination of the two. both of these are a possibility. there has been so much written about soy being beneficial for women, but soy is known to impair thyroid function. google it, there's plenty written about it. overconsumption of soy is suspected to bring down thyroid function. just thought I'd throw that in. Water always wins. :sun: |

Quoting: BRIEF AND TO THE POINTI've never been this way before. You may need to see a brain chemical doc. Cry it out, girl...and shake it off. Do the things you know are right: 1. Eat healthy foods, don't skip meals 2. Drink plenty of water 3. Take a good multivitamin 4. Exercise daily 5. Breathe 6. Pray/Meditate I think there IS such a thing as PRE-menopausal. I think I was about your age when it started for me. I have a pretty high-stress/high activity life. I'm 42 now, and not truly menopausal yet. Hang in there...settle in. I would avoid psych meds (brain chemical meds) and only get them as a last result. Take care of your physical and spiritual and your mental/emotional will get better. Peace. |

Yes it can start in your thirties, but you should be checked by a doctor because many other things carry the same symptoms and should be ruled, or treated. |

Soy is TERRIBLE for humans to consume. Anything that says it's good for you is either a lie promulgated by those who produce and sell it, or by "journalists" who are too lazy to do real research, and just re-write what they read in the main-stream media. Soy has only been eaten by humans for the last few hundred years, as Asians previously used it ONLY for crop rotations to "rest" their soil. Only after learning to ferment it was it used SPARINGLY in miso soup and soy sauce. It is a LIE that Asians eat a lot of soy, and it is so full of phytoestrogens, it is easy to see why it would play havoc with a woman's hormonal balance. Soy is garbage, and thank you, Hillcrest, for bringing that up! People need to really READ about it before they take it into their bodies!!! |
