I don't know if they see spirits but I do know they are modelled after the heavenly cherubim angels - thats why they hiss - only no fire comes out like in the real kind - also their whiskers simulate the smoke and their purring - well I could tell you but there have to some secrets. We don't actually worship them in any formal rituals but Templar's seem to attract them - I normally have at least two sitting on my chair when I am typing here. |

Have you never heard this? i've some friends whose cat chases "things" outta of rooms. weirdest thing.....like it sees something that we can't and stalks it. my friends say that the cat sees spirits. my cat does this sometimes, and it freaks me out. he follows things on the floor, and i think he's looking at a bug or something, but then i look and there's nothing there. he genuinely looks like he's following something with his physical eyes, but there's nothing there... when i'm in my room or on the computer, my cat seems to sometimes sit somewhere in the room in an upright position facing away from me. i get the distinct feeling that he's helping me out somehow, as if he's blocking something bad. sounds crazy, i know. but cats seem to indeed be tuned into a spiritual realm humans are unable to access. the egyptians were apparently aware of the benefits of having cats around. |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 560375 United States 03/14/2009 01:05 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I don't know about warding off demons, but I have a very protective cat and we share something of a love/hate relationship. I've had several abdominal surgeries and Tig would always want to lay on my belly as though he knew something was wrong. After one particularly bad set of surgeries I had nurses coming to the house a couple times a day and Tig would be there at every visit watching their every move. One day I had a male nurse who shut him out of the room, the cat tried to knock the door down to get in. My mom was there and let him in and I seriously thought he was going to attack the nurse, he growled at the nurse while he sat protectively beside me. Although, I am better now I have relapses and sometimes my stomach hurts so bad and it is those times when Tig wants to lay on my belly and I swear it seems like he takes some of the pain away. :tig: |

They don't do anything, they just stand there, looking at me. My cat ran at one recently, and only then, did "it" disappear. I know my little one can "see" and I have now seen that he is a protector. Weird. |

Hello Brother, I worship my cats, just because they are so lovable. All the local cats come to see me, and even occasionally set up house in my place. |

I knew about Hitler and Napoleon, but there are more. Famous Ailurophobes (people who fear cats) include: Hitler, Napoleon, Mussolini and Genghis Khan ... and someone mentioned Sarah Palin? Famous Proverb: "A cat can look at a king, but a dictator can seldom bear that look." Kinda makes you think. |

Taralee User ID: 569891 United States 05/08/2009 09:53 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I own 3 cats and I have lived in a demonic possessed home since 2006, but just recently learned of it's true form from a demonologist. I just thought it was a restless spirit. I can attest to the fact that demons are in fact afraid of cats! The demon in my house started attacking me nightly about a year ago, usually anywhere between 2 and 3:30 a.m. by choking me and I even had the marks to prove it! The only rest and relief I get from being attacked is when one of my cats sleep with me. My cats see, watch, and follow, invisible things that we don't see. My 2 year old female cat checks under the bed then jumps up on the bed and sleeps on my chest in protector mode, the same with my 1 year old male on alternate nights. When my cats choose to spend the night outside, I am attacked on those nights they are not in the house close to me. We are now in the process of doing an ongoing excorsism on our house. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 629317 United States 05/08/2009 10:16 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | So I have a question that is slightly off topic- my cat does that thing too where she sees things I can't see and chases them. She is a good kitty and we got her when she was about 3 or so. She was fully grown and house broken- never has went to the bathroom in the house- always goes in her litter box.Last night she was freaking out, running around being very playful. I sat up in bed and saw her in her bed staring straight ahead and then she went to the bathroom in her favorite bed- she is over-weight (we got her that way) but not sick and very healthy- she did have a little piece of ham last night as a treat which was the only unusual thing she ate.She had just gone #2 in her litter box- and then walked into her bed and peed. Why would she do this? Just very strange. |
