I'm sorry that a lot of you went through such horrible experiences but don't blame it on a whole racial group of women. I married a U.S. marine whom I fell in love with. The US is not exactly becoming the most desirable place to live, based on the current economy. That whole green card bullshit is becoming a thing of the past in many cases.

I agree with the fact that American women generally have become more and more masculine and their attitude/ value system has changed in recent times, as much of our original western social values system has decayed. I also think a lot of men have been raised fatherless and have never been taught by example that respect in a relationship is a two-way street. Many of these same men and women are professionals at picking relationships that become abusive and dishonest. Sadly, it is becoming a majority. We all reap what we sow, though.

I think that any place you go, if you are open minded and respectful, break past the stereotypes, and take the time to learn about it the culture, you will meet both good and bad people, and find new appreciation for who they are and how they do things. Half the fun is exploring what makes our cultures different. Assholes come in every color, as do wonderful people.

Ultimately a person is only going to find and treasure the the genuine qualities in another person that they possess themselves. Based on that, it doesn't matter what color your skin is or where you come from.

Feminism basically aims to create social equality among men and women. They are not man-haters! In fact, they are just regular women who wish they're male and female colleagues would just stop stereotyping them and start believing in their capabilities. The concept of 'feminity' is culturally constructed and is not inherited from nature itself.
There are societies in and around the world where women do the "men's work" of going out in the field and working on land all day, brining the income for survival while the men do the "women's work" of looking after the kids and taking care of house hold activities. And that happens to be the way their culture is knit into. Therefore, the whole misconceptions of 'feminine' and 'masculine' is not in any shape or form natural.
It's the outcome of religion and culture. (For Religion; refer to 1 Timothy 2:11-12 in the Bible and take the society of Saudi Arabia for an example of Islamic viewpoint on women.)

So, by being a feminist, you're basically giving a man and woman equal right to be who they are without any sort of social pressure!
I do not see why that is a bad thing!

Men being able to cook, women being able to serve in the army, men being able to wear make-up, etc.. are all the far fetched ideas that are condemned by the society (Now.. not so much maybe!)But being a feminist you're permitting a man or a woman to be who they are and do what they wish to do so. I do not understand how any marriage or relationship will be a success if either party believes in a male-dominated and female-subordinated system!
