PROBLEM: Everytime I call Verizon they always put someone from another country, like India or China.
Okay, so I have this problem. I have Verizon DSL for some odd reason (they suck and its slow) but every time someone calls my house or I call someone using my house phone my internet connection fails. It just stops responding for a few minutes or until I hang up. I decided to call Verizon, so they always put some Indian male/female who doesn't know whatsup with the problem. They tell me the same shit, its like they are programmed to do a certain thing and that's it. It's always a fucking Indian with an accent (I'm not racist either, I love Indian women/food) and they think they know everything, but I actually had to teach them a few things once in awhile.

The problem is I don't know how to fix this, and I would seriously want to talk to someone here in America who will understand my problem. Everytime I call I either speak with a machine or someone in another country.

I have a Westell 7500, I have the filters connected properly, I have a 5.8Ghz phone. Can anyone help?

Calls to verizon go straight to India. I had them on the phone for 2 hours a week ago trying to straighten out my MIL's AOL account since she can't hear too well. It was so frustrating!!

Yep, it sucks. I thought India had a bigger English speaking population than the USA.

Do you have a splitter to go with the filters?

The phone jack in the wall has two exits/entrace for phone line. I have one for the phone with a filter, then I have the modem connected directly to the wall.

I don't know about Verizon, but Windstream has been a pain in the ass. Have to keep calling and calling and calling -- do it enough times, you finally get someone who can understand what you are trying to tell them, you understand what they are telling you, and you actually get some assistance. Takes a lot of wasted time.

Is there only one phone jack in your house...the same one you hook the phone and DSL modem up to?

If you have other jacks and phones in the house do they have DSL filters?

One other thing. Do you have a Burglar alarm hooked up to your phone line?

One last thing...Is your phone line hooked to a cable TV box to order Pay For View programing?

If thats the only phone Jack then I'd plug the DSL modem up where you plug the phone in now and see if it works. If it does then its not being filtered because the DSL should not work where you think its filtered.

u know, this tells a lot more but i will make it short, your "problem" it's what "makes america great" you pay a sucker in a foreign country fraction of the cost, it's an economic pillar, cost reduction, this begins with the industrial revolution and reaches it's peak and the beginnings of last year when the baltic dry index hits a record high ...just before a record drop of 95%, millions of containers worldwide stuck, meaning that is cheaper than ever to move shit around, so your move prime matter from underpaid and probably underage South America 10000 miles away to China where slave labor get it done and 10000 miles back to the "great america" where it's get sold in the cancer of them all wall-mart.
wake up sheepy the world as you know it it's coming to and end and you still are spinning around.

Whenever I hear an Indian accent whilst calling any help line, I just hang the fuck up and try again. The useless assholes can't understand nor help with anything. Keep trying, eventually you'll get someone you understand and who actually knows how to fix the problem.

Odd, but I've spent literally HOURS on the phone, numerous times with Verizon, for the last 5 weeks... and as annoying as they are, I never had a problem understanding anyone!

I had a problem with my DSL cutting out so I phoned my ISP - yep I got India lol. The guy was not very helpful especially when he found out my modem was not supported, so he said 'I cannot help you. Thankyou. Goodbye'. Bastard.

Anyway...it turned out my splitter had failed (I tested it with a spare). Perhaps thats your problem OP?

Re: PROBLEM: Everytime I call Verizon they always put someone from another country, like India or China.
Just thought of one more thing to check. Unplug your phone and look at the little modular plug at the end...the little plug you actually plug into the jack. See if there are 4 medal connectors or if there are just 2 medal connecters. If there are 4 then see if you can find a cord that only has 2. You only need 2 and if there are 4 then deepending on how the jack is wired you could have your unfiltered dial tone going into your phone on the 2 connectors you don't need. That is probably why the DSL cuts off when you use the phone. No telling where that 2 connection is going to in the phone.

Portable phones have no mercy on dsl or wireless routers.

Without reading your entire post, I can tell you that after switching to a cable system, never have that problem.

Verizon isn't too fond of their dsl, they work tirelessly on the fios network
