The one thing I absolutely hate is enforcing the dress code. I'd be here in shorts and slippers if I could. I don't control it and if I don't get enforce then other people notice and things get mentioned to my boss. Of all the fucking BS to bitch about why do they feel the need to tell my boss in another state, that my peeps are wearing jeans or tennis shoes unless it's friday. Guys have to wear a button shirt. Tie optional.

I work for an investment bank in NYC, if it is a public company don't do it. If it is private that is a personal choice if it is accepted in the workplace. I have heard of private investment firms were guys, mellow with weed, get hyper with coke and also drink. If the guys are making money, management will look rthe other way until trapped.

I guess it's up to you man - depending on what you do, it might be acceptable.
