I reported it to the cell phone company....he wont tell me which pawnshop he went to...and...just left...my intention was to take the cops there.
Needles to say. I just smashed all his equiptment........I paid for that fucking bass guitar anyway ..........Felt good....I have never done any wrong to this man...and oppurtunities knock all the time....guess I just place too much loyalty and value on people

I'm confused whether he pawned it to shop or the dealer. Either way, my biggest concern would be the running up of the bill and WHO they are calling before you had service turned off. If it's drug dealing and using your phone, then you get implicated. If it's a pawn shop, then it's stolen. Might want to report it to police to protect yourself. You can always say you lost it, think it fell out of the car or something if you are trying to protect him. And, don't lend your stuff to users who are broke.... that's one of the ways hearts get broken. Sorry, OP.

Go back to the pawn shop, explain, do a deal, and redeem it, they can only sell it after a specific length of time depending on the value of the goods and the money lent. The sooner you get it back, the less interest you will pay. If you are skint, then your phone is going to be the least of your problems. If necessary, get the sim card back, and borrow an old phone.

Ditch "the other half", unless you are junkies together. In that case, again, the phone is the least of your problems.

Alternatively call the Cell phone company, report the phone lost or stolen. Get the SIM deactivated, and then request they send you a new SIM, they may even send you a new phone, and charge it to air time, if you are a good customer.

If you own two houses, then purchasing a new entry level phone, or borrowing one is no big deal. Here in the UK, we are awash with new $60 phones. At work I have 30 old tri-band phones sitting in a cupboard from two years ago. I'm about to again renew the contract of 85 phones with new. Charities collect them, and sell them on for $6 each they are of such little value; is it so different over there.

This is a lot of fuss about nothing, it's just a fucking phone. Your worst half hasn't suddenly become a junkie. Grow up. get over it, and find a decent, solvent partner!
