dots on mailboxes
i've read many posts re dots on mailboxes...but how about blue, thickish, cookie cutter (circular) shaped objects on top of street lights? i live in british columbia and have noticed these things...they are placed in random patterns and on different lights...so it seemed rather suspect to me. has anyone else seen these things? can't tell what it is or what purpose it would serve. i've never seen them on top of street lights before...

It's for the military once they start going door to door. Not sure what the codes mean but look for an increase in these things in the coming months

Photocells that tell entire banks of street lights when it's dark enough to turn on. They are 2-3 inches in diameter, almost as high, and (if you were to see one on the ground) have a circular style locking plug to connect to the wiring in the lamp head...

NO?

see how embarrassing GLP users are? They call a photosensor that turns the streetlights on at night, a "device to be used when the military goes door to door"

Because you really don't need a sensor on every light. They are turned on and off in banks, as the difference in sunrise and sunset times from one light to another are miniscule...

Then perhaps the actual Subject should be "My freaky streetlight"?
Maybe your light needed replacing for some reason, and your Street Lighting department couldn't obtain an exact replacement?

Well, yes, you wouldn't want the military to have to do this in the dark, now would you? LOL...

OFF-TOPIC:

How do you link to icons that aren't available in the Reply page for non-logged-in users? Do you just have to know what's available (but not advertised)? Or are you using some secret codes to do this?

TIA...
