U.K. Citizens Doubt Darwinism And Richard Dawkins Is Upset About It

A new poll reveals that even in the U.K., the public seriously doubts Charles Darwin's theory of evolution, and prominent atheist Richard Dawkins is seriously upset about it.

In the poll, over half of the respondents indicated that they believe that the theory of evolution cannot explain the full complexity of life on Earth and that a "designer" must have been involved.

The poll also revealed that about one out of three citizens of the U.K. believe that God created the world within the past 10,000 years.

Now keep in mind that this poll was taken in the ultra secularized U.K.

Of course the results of this poll infuriated Richard Dawkins and in response he said that this poll is proof that much of the population in the U.K. is "pig-ignorant" about science.

Dawkins is at the center of the gigantic debate in western society over whether "creation" (or "intelligent design") should be taught alongside the theory of evolution in public schools.

But should there even be a debate? What does the scientific evidence say?

After all, shouldn't the actual science be more important than what people would like to believe?

Shouldn't logic, reason and hard facts trump any personal agenda that anyone is trying to push?
