I say this because HardTruth, a poster here, has this info. that supposedly, in ancient times, like before the Flood, there was no moon because, as it says; there was no sunshine during the day, no moonshine at night [and, thusly, no 12 steps either]. So, the info. the Hard Truth postulates says there musta been no moon, because of this. I say that, if there was no sunlight coming thru; does not that point to a cover from atmosphere, blocking the sunlight? And, hence, blocking us from seeing the moon at night, too; not because the moon was not there...

Also, in relation to this, is Neal Adam's idea of an expanding Earth. It could be that all the water, that now makes up our oceans, was then in our atmosphere...

The two key problems with this "calculation" are

(a) the predictions of the coming messiah are not
independent of eachother...one guesses they are
highly correlated in nature...so they are equivalent
to a lot less than 300 independent predictions...

(b) that Jesus Christ fulfilled them all is also not
independent of the predictions...if you are searching for
someone to fulfill your predictions, and then find someone
and procalim them as the "one" who does so, this again
invalidates the simple probability estimate which is
based on assuming all the events are independent
(prophesies, and fulfiller of prophesies)

So, not surprising, the calculation given is totally invalid, and really begs the question: why the math, just show us the miracle man and all else is moot....

If Jesus was all that, a god in the flesh, then he came here to "bring the sword". Compare it to the movie The Exorcist. But, instead of the devil going into the priest; here the preist jumps into the body of the little girl (Earth), to make the change...

And look at how the world has changed since his death...

How does some Englishman uneducated in both Hebrew and Aramaic transcribe Hebrew and both languages completely to the letter? He doesn't of course but there weren't many Jews who knew both Hebrew and Aramaic either. So all of this stands rather debatable on the translations being exact and scrolls of the 1500's era being fully recovered for us now so we get both sets of them to analyze.

Aramaic, The language Jesus originally spoke. Jesus whose names entirely misspelling btw should be Yah-weh, more like that. So there's your free education. No no that's free of charge.

The Bible is safe only in the hands of those who are wise enough to dig the gold nuggets out of the BS in it.

One must NEVER let go their critical thinking and logic when going into the Bible.


That said, do not restrict yourself to the Bible. Teachings in the Bible are much easier to understand if you connect the dots with other schools of thoughts. You will find out that many are very inaccurate and whould have been easily misunderstood if one took them without the help of other schools of thoughts to really understand them.

Just pick any story that "predicts", such as the Matrix, which "predicts" "the one". All the story writer has to do/had to do was take what was "predicted" in the previous story then write the sequel. Thw "new testament" writers just used the "old testament" as their prequel to their new story and had the new fictional character(Jesus) "fulfill" all the "predictions" concerning "the one".

If you already have a story that says the "hero" is going to do this and that, all you have to do is write the next story and have the "hero" do all those things.

It's not rocket science.

Are you counting the prophecy "He will be called Immanuel", which Matthew notes (to paraphrase slightly), "I'm calling him Immanuel right now, therefore the prophecy is fulfilled!"?

The great cleanse is coming. After reading enough of the bible and other world manuscripts, which usually have the same story line running rampant throughout, I have become convinced the great cleanse is coming.

Not because I am some great prophet but because our relatives have written about it over and over and over and over. Names have changed, civilizations have changed but they all went through it.

Somewhere along the line something written has to be the first recorded knowledge of man. How bad have we made a mess of things? Really bad. This history repeats itself over and over. Deep down we most likely have the exact knowledge that we require but it has been dumbed down. It has been corrupted. Libraries have been burned to the ground. Knowledge hidden from us all. Elite agendas played out against us all because they think they hold the answer.

Did Jesus not show you enough miracles in the NT?

How about today? Are there not enough miracles when you look around?

What about the plague in Revelation that kills like 1/4 or 1/3 of the population? Sounds like AIDS to me. I think this might have been when the pale horse was released? I forget, something like that.
