Food caravan stops in hard-hit Ind. county,,, SHIT!!!!Thousands in town that Obama visited line up to get free supplies
ELKHART, Ind. - In this job-starved city where President Barack Obama last month made a public appeal for his economic stimulus plan, hundreds of volunteers — and an agency that specializes in handing out food — worked together Tuesday to feed 5,200 hungry families.

Roughly 300 local volunteers worked with Feed the Children to distribute more than $2.1 million worth of food at Concord Mall as part of the nonprofit relief organization’s “Feeding Americans Emergency Caravan.”

The caravan of semi-trailers is visiting small cities and towns across America hit hard by the economic crisis. No area in Indiana has been hit harder than Elkhart County, where the jobless rate skyrocketed to 18.3 percent in January
Residents who have been facing tough times eagerly picked up free canned goods, baked goods, candy and even Avon products.

Larry Jones, the founder and president of Feed the Children, was at the event, as were televangelist Joel Osteen, pastor at Lakewood Church in Houston, and his wife, Victoria.

Jones said Elkhart had received a lot of attention, and hoped it would continue, but in a more positive light.

“When I heard that President Obama had been here three times and that you had the fastest growing unemployment, I’m praying that you are the fastest coming down from that,” he said.

“What we want people to know,” Jones said later in an interview, “is that in this time of despair, there is hope. People haven’t forgotten you.”

Falling on hard times
Elkhart County, which bills itself as “the RV capital of the world,” has seen its fortunes fall with the economy. Factory buildings now lie idle, with rows of unsold motor homes lined up outside.

Obama visited Elkhart on Feb. 9, using the town’s plight to urge Congress and the nation to back his plan for economic revival. “People in Elkhart need this right now," he said, speaking at a town hall event at Concord High School. "They cannot wait on Washington to get things done."

On Tuesday, the line of recipients often wrapped around the parking lot and onto surrounding roads as people waited to get to one of at least 15 trailers to pick up food, personal care items and other products.

Patricia Smith of Elkhart waited for over an hour to get her supplies, and was appreciative of what she did receive.

Smith has been unemployed since last July when she left her waitress position at Callahan’s Restaurant to care for her 11-year-old daughter, Brandi, who had recently been diagnosed with a cancerous brain tumor.

“It’s been a struggle,” Smith said. “We’re surviving and we’re going to make it through this.”

"Al Mahdi will be from my progeny. His forehead will be broad and his nose will be high. He will fill the world with justice and fairness at a time when the world will be filled with oppression. He will rule for seven years."

Other ahadeeth inform us that:

* He will be tall
* He will be fair complexioned
* His facial features will be similar to those of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam)
* His character will be exactly like that of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam)
* His father's name will be Abdullah
* His mother's name will be Aamina
* He will speak with a slight stutter and occasionally this stutter will frustrate him causing him to hit his hand upon his thigh.
* His age at the time of his emergence will be forty years
* He will receive Knowledge from Allah.

THE MAHDI IS THE ANTICHRIST
OBAMA IS THE MAHDI

Give me a break; stop fear-mongering. There were "soup kitchens" and "food handouts" under Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan, etc. Emergency situation brings it out. Nothing new.

True, but this is only the beginning. I've seen this before in movies, the noblemen ride past and throw bits of bread and a few coins at the population, who are thankful and cheer their generosity.

So quickly we turn from the independent spirit of determination, to peasants dependent on our leaders.

What's it been, a year or two?

Sad to think as Elkhart was where some of America's finest musical instruments were produced.

In the 60 and 70's, Maquilidoras on the US/MEX border emasculated this town.

probably out of a 2-income family one has lost a job, so they're having a tough time making house and car payments. I saw the report on NBC nightly news, people were in long lines waiting in their cars, minivans, pickups, SUVS...

That food is for people- poor people tend to appear "fat~n ~heathly" due to the shit foods they can afford.

The hurricaines here in Tx just weren't on MSM as much after the fact. Also , you can't compare apples to oranges. Because of Katrina, people DID pack up and leave. They were not left behind to die by their own reps. Because of Katrina, not only the people of Galveston reacted, but- this time the government had better plans and a fast a for possible rescue.

Even if they have houses and cars (for the time being) no one would wait in a long line like that for a 5-day supply of basics. (one bottle of cooking oil, a box of bisquick...etc.)

Although it did seem odd to see big honking SUVs in the line, because you know at one time the people were doing pretty well to afford that to begin with. But things change pretty quick if your hours are cut back or one spouse loses a job! And I'm sure they couldn't even trade the thing in at this point.

Again as Jesus Immanuel Christ said after him only Antichrists will come, error teacher, false prophets and so on a lot of morons.

They will never get the power, because the ten kings who hate Babylon will destroy her within one hour, in one hour babylon will be punished and destroyed.

So the beginning of our Babylon-civilation was in the near east. And in the near East the Antichroist sect emerged after 600 AD.
They will not , the cannot and never ever defeat the WORD of Jesus Immanuel Christ.
Whatever lies they are telling NEVER, because Jesus Immanuerl Christ has already damned them before they became, as He is before Abraham bacame.

Tribulation begins.

You have to turn away of Babylon, leave Babylon, Money is the tool of Babylon.

Do not worry Jesus Immanuel Christ will protect His People.

Whatever...you don't know me.

BTW...Katrina victims were given warning to leave...a lot didn't and then complained. I did recall seeing a news piece about a man that WALKED from New Orleans to Dallas when they first issued the warning to leave. He had a backpack with bottled water and some canned meats. I guess he wasn't one of the lazy asses.

Do you think if I hear a tornado siren I'm going to take shelter? Well hell yes I am. I even keep a 'scram' bag by my bed during tornado season.

Ummmm...yes this "economic crisis" is a natural disaster. It's what naturally occurs when a society belives mass consumption is a birthright, and paper money/credit is an asset. LOL The cash you hold in your hand is a debtor's note.

This IS a natural disaster; the destructive force is ignorance and vanity. Don't point fingers at banks...they were just giving the individual consumer what it wanted...credit...for a bigger house, a nicer car, vacations, commercial goods, etc. etc. etc.

This whole economy is Obama fault. This all started happening the day he took office. The economy was so great under Bush.
