Frank Sinatra
I think everyone will agree... you cant get much bigger
in show biz
Frank was at the top of the Hollywood tree
yet, over the years all the Hollywood Royals
have appeared on TV chat shows yet I cant ever remember seeing Frank
appear on a chat show !

Re: Frank Sinatra
The man was a class act... What a voice... to this day his music is wonderful!

Too bad the younger people don't hear more music that good, then they would at least know what pretty music really is!

Re: Frank Sinatra
I WAS FIXIN' AN OLD-TIMER's COMPUTER A FEW WEEKS AGO HERE IN TOWN AND WE GOT ON THE SUBJECT OF FRANK SINATRA. HE SAID THAT HIS SECOND WIFE WAS HAVING DINNER AT A RESTAURANT WHERE FRANK AND HIS PALS WERE CUSSING UP A STORM AND ONE OF THE MEN FROM THE TABLE WHERE HIS WIFE WAS SITTING WENT OVER TO THE TABLE WHERE FRANK WAS AND TOLD HIM TO SHUT HIS FILTHY MOUTH.

I ASKED HIM IF HE DID.
OH YEAH! HE SAID.

I didn't care for Frank's life style, but loved his voice. I saw him preform at the Omni in Atlanta, he was terrific. Most of the audience showed up dressed as gangsters!!!

I love the older music! I remember growing up thinking how crazy my parents were...but I have found this stuff to be timeless.

Not only Frank...but many others from that era. Especially Stan Getz...

I have the remastered CD GETZ AND GILBERTO, THE ALBUM that started the Bossa Nova craze with the song
"Girl from Ipanema".
COINCIDENTLY, that song (quite night, quite stars) is an Antonio CARLOS jOPLIN song, and is also sung by Sinatra on his album "Francis Albert Sinatra sings Antonio Carlos Joplin". He also sings Girl from Ipanema on this one.
An interesting combination to say the least
