Maybe it is not an overpopulation problem, per se. Perhaps it is an abuse of resources and lack of technological solutions problem?

For instance, if we could utilize the technology of levitating stone we would be building stone structures for home and office and levy etc. instead of shoddy wooden or costly steel and concrete ones. The forests and their ecosystems would get relief. (See coral castle, pyramids etc.)

If we could levitate everywhere for transportation then we could return a lot of arable land from roads to farms. Seems like it was, or will have been, a bad idea to build so much tract housing on the arable farm and grazing lands. See what Brazil is doing to cash-in on the soy and beef demand?

Alternative energy solutions would enable breaching hydroelectric dams and reviving fish populations among other benefits such as inexspensively desalinating and purifying water.

This is just my line of thought. However, there is certainly a maximum population carrying capacity for da momma erde. What that is will be determined and probably painfully so.
