Kevin Martin (OP) User ID: 731124 United States 07/22/2009 12:04 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The mayan calender does not use leap year, so the date they set it to is right, its just translated on to your calender. gj running in circles though Quoting: noKnothing~But in "reality" without our calendar, the REALITY date, as in "space time date" is not December 21, 2012, because we screwed it up. It is before that because we added days ... |

mathetes User ID: 514914 United States 07/22/2009 09:53 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Source: [link to www.scwxa.org] Quoting: Kevin Martin = 2012 CRACKED 731124The Mayan Calendar was written in Sixth Century B.C. or 6,000 B.C. The Calendar ends on December 21, 2012. However, why are historians missing the very fact that the leap year system was not invented until after the calendar was written? That would mean the date is off from the original end. Kevin Martin SCWXA Meteorologist Dude....the 6th century BC is NOT 6,000 BC its 600 BC and the Mayans didn't develope their calendar until the classic period 250-900 AD For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. |

I am just a bit surprised why no "professional" historian could think of that." rofl. The date is our our mind. so if the planets and sun all align in July of 2011 you are coorect OP but I think science has developed the date accatly as to when the events will occur. The myan calander is more precise in determining the orbit of the planets as well as earth better then we had for manny hundredes of years. They had to make up the leap year for the loss of time. The end is not the end just a new begining BY the way it is July 22, 2009 and we are all still here talking abt a bunch of BS while my wife has probly fallen asleep naked while I try and type this stupid response. |

Mark User ID: 731889 United States 07/23/2009 02:47 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Maya Calendar is it's own. The leap year is just a guess at catching up to our own miscalculation of our 365 day cycle. The Mayans had there own 260 day cycle, this stands alone. They did have the short term 260 day cycle, and a long term cycle, 400 days, but I don't think the long term was related to Earth travelling one full time around the sun. Anyways, the Maya Calendar is it's own representation of time. The leap year doesn't relate to it. The leap year relates to our 365 day cycle, which was found to be a little off.
