Worry when you see Vancomycin, quinupristin,dalfopristin and linezolid.
Of course, these are becoming less useful against gram-negative bacteria.
Doctors won't say so in public,but gram-negatives are getting out of control, due to over-use of anti-biotics/anti-bacterials.
Isn't cipro supposed to treat most anything? I was told it was one of the drugs that bacteria was not resistant to yet.
What is the dif. between gram pos. and gram neg. Is one more serious than the other?

This also makes it a little more difficult to kill. There are 6 standard Gr+ bacteria that harm humans(Listeria, Staph,Strep, (there are variants). Gr- has a whole host , including Mennegitis, Gonorrhea, E-coli, Salmonella, etc. Sometimes the body gets both. After treatment, get her yogurt. She'll need to replace beneficial bacteria ASAP.
