His two chutes, although tangled, did slow him down somewhat. Plus he landed on something springy. Lucky guy.

I gave up skydiving after three main chute failures.

I doubt its just the springy Iron, he had one chute open and it was spinning him at a rate that caused the blood to rush to his feet which is very fast.
The spinning does slow the decent somewhat, as it creates drag, but still hes very lucky.
