Recession is over and we are moving deeper into Depression,
It is all about numbers that can be manipulated. Geitner and Bernanke are solving the GDP number problem and have numbers that show that GDP will be goin' UP.

Poof, no more recession! Amen, Halleluia!

Now we just gotta climb out of the Depression that keeps getting bigger.

Re: Recession is over and we are moving deeper into Depression,
With TRILLIONS of Taxpayer Dollars, Bernanke and Geitner (The Dynamic Duo) have managed to give a temporary boost to the economy. Numbers can, at least, make it look that way.

Praise God for Statistics and our intelligent ability to formulate them!

Always remember that there are three kinds of lies: Lies, Damned Lies and Statistics.

Statistics are the worst kind of lie as they can be presented to say whatever you want them to say. The statistics say we are out of recession. Hell, statistics said we were in a recession starting in late 2007. I did not see any recession then. I did in the later part of 2008 when I realized that there were a lot of people out of work.

Now, as more and more people are being laid off and running out of Unemployment Benefits, I see that we are in a horrible Depression. I don't need any damned statistics to tell me that. All I have to do is look around.

Re: Recession is over and we are moving deeper into Depression,
The American taxpayer subsidized more than ONE WHOLE YEAR OF THE VALUE OF AMERICA'S GOODS AND SERVICES(GDP), to"kick the can down the road", delaying , but not preventing the upcoming financial/economic collapse!

(But as long as the banksters are all OK, you don't mind, do you??????)

OBAMA, Pelosi, Reid, and the rest of the dems certainly added a powerful hallucinating spiker to the KOOLAID to get the unwitting populace to go along with this trash, didn't they!?!

Look Fritz, the only indicator that tells you the economy slipped into a depression is during when a recession comes to an end like the Fed's made claim and there are no jobs in creation. No jobs being created is the indicator of the beginning of a depression because UI benefits will run out at some point for those who were layed-off and that can be depressing.

Gov will mask this indicator and spin the media as less jobless claims.

It's not a real depression yet. People mostly are managing to eat. There are as many deer and canadian geese as ever.
