Why does God have to be doing something? Only a puny human being has to be doing something. God exists outside of our entire dimension of existence. He is everywhere and isn't restricted by your puny human comprehension of space and tyme.

THE ORIGIN AND DESTINY OF THE EARTH.

"We believe…that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory" (A of F 10). LDS revelation declares that the earth is destined to become a celestial body fit for the abode of the most exalted or celestial beings (D&C 88:18-20, 25-26). This is a unique departure from the traditional Christian beliefs that heaven is the dwelling place for all saved beings, and that after fulfilling its useful role the earth will become uninhabited, or be destroyed. Doctrine and Covenants 130:9 teaches that finally the earth will become sanctified and immortalized, and be made crystal-like. The "sea of glass" spoken of in Revelation 4:6 "is the earth, in its sanctified, immortal, and eternal state" (D&C 77:1). - [link to www.lightplanet.com]

i want my own planet someday :/

I dont know how yet. LOL - you need to investigate the Mormons then. I think they believe when they die, they will be a god and have their own planet, or solar system, or something like that - I'm not sure... Perhaps one of them will shed some light for you -
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 676821

Latter-day Saints believe that we come to the earth to take a physical body, to be schooled and trained and gain experiences here that we could not have in the premortal life, and then to seek to grow in faith and spiritual graces until we can qualify to go where God and Christ are. But they believe that eternal life consists in more than being with God; it entails being like God.

A study of the Christian church reveals that the doctrine of the deification of man was taught at least into the fifth century by such notables as Irenaeus, Clement of Alexandria, Justin Martyr, Athanasius, and Augustine. Latter-day Saints would probably not agree with most of what was taught about deification by the early Christian church leaders, because they believe that many of the plain and precious truths concerning God and man had been lost by then. But I mention this to illustrate that the idea was not foreign to the people of the early church; the names mentioned were not pagan or Gnostic spokesmen but Christian.

... Those holy beings are and forever will be the Gods men and women worship. Men and women, like Christ, are made in the image and likeness of God, that it is not robbery to be equal with God (Philippians 2:6), and that like any father, our Heavenly Father wants his children to become and be all that he is. Spiritual growth to this lofty plain is not something that comes merely through hard work, though men and women are expected to do their best to keep their covenantal obligations. Deification is accomplished finally through the grace and goodness of Jesus Christ, who seeks that all of us might become joint heirs, co-inheritors with him, to all the Father has. (Romans 8:14-18.) - [link to www.lightplanet.com]

Being.

Is that not enough?
It is God, it's motivations are beyond our ability to understand.

We don't even know for sure if this is the only universe.

If there is some creator entity that caused the universe to be, I sincerely doubt it's the only project s/he/it has going.

So God the scientist or God the artist?

Or as some propose, God the child and his toy box?

Alot of the ET's that are evolved and come from celestial realms bearing close to the "collective" all is one realm, even they message no one has any clue of the infinity of God. They never ever refer to "God" but rather Prime Creator, First Source, All that Is, the I Am that I Am. God was a coined term on this planet.

Well, it's just easier to write rather than Source/Great Spirit/Creator/All that is/etc, etc, etc.

It all means the same thing. :)

Before God created Everything, time didn't exist, so that question is moot.

well... since he also create time, then there was no BEFORE he created everything...

What make you think a day in a typical heaven plane is the same time as it is down here? A day here means 24 hours based on the rotation of the Earth around the Sun. On that heaven plane, and there are more than just one levels, a day there could be 100 years down here or more. think about that.
So to rephrase, the Universe has never started nor will it ever end.

Question authority every time. Ask them how that makes them feel. Ask them why? Ask them when you have an opinion with your opinion and question them with that! There is no being with ALL THE answers accept for God. Even still question. But trust if it's all good and loving then follow with your full heart believing. For the light will always be the light. It makes me a believer.
