I never hear anyone use the term mini laptop. I guess a mini laptop would have a 13in screen. Netbook screens are much smaller though i have a HP mini and its nice for when you are on the go |

By this I mean that they have sub-par internal parts (usually, unless you pay big $$) that are built to be small and lightweight, not powerful. So basically, a Netbook is used strictly for web-browsing and light media usage (music, movies, photos, etc). However, they are NOT recommended for development (web design, video editing, etc) or gaming. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 742228can i use word and spreadsheets on all of them? and why dont some of them have windows, they say linux is that just wat they come with can i change it? Linux is a free alternative to Microsoft Windows. They use Linux to save the $100-300 license for Windows. Any commercial computer (sold by a name brand like Dell, Sony, etc) will be able to run Windows, you'll just need to buy / install it. As for Word docs / Excel spreadsheets, yes. Any computer made since like 1998 can open those documents, as long as you have Microsoft Office or Openoffice.org (free) installed on your computer (to open the files). Hope that helps. |
